Abstract
The Personal Cultural Identity and Literature Unit Plan seeks to lead students to an exploration of their own cultural identity. Through this experience, students will come to an understanding of their own biases and assumptions and understand how these influence the ways in which students interpret and respond to literature. In addition, students will realize that authors’ cultural identities frame the literature which they create.
