Abstract

This unit is designed for an on level, eleventh grade class of United States History Since 1877. It is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). This would be the first unit of the year and covers Westward Expansion and the Gilded Age. The three major themes are assimilation, nativism, and "gilded" society.
