Abstract
This is a physical properties unit for 5th grade. It is designed to be approximately seven weeks in length, and be completed during the first 9 weeks. In this unit students will go over basic physical properties and how to draw conclusion about data. Generally, these subjects are taught as separate units but, the unit is designed to bring these concepts together and see all physical properties as a way of learning about objects. The unit will culminate in a project where students are asked to discover the identity of mystery materials.
