Abstract
In this 5 week unit, students will learn about fractions. Through interactive Google slides assessments, practice pages, quizzes and games, students will practice all fourth grade fractions TEKS. Skills covered include representing fractions, generating equivalent fractions, comparing and ordering fractions, simplifying fractions, adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers, and converting mixed numbers and improper fractions. At the end of the unit, students will apply their knowledge in a bakery themed classroom transformation where they are asked to complete a purchase order for ingredients that a local cakery needs.
