Abstract
This unit encourages uses the most recent (as of 2019) version of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for 8th Grade Science to encourage students to "look up" and ask themselves what they really know about space, the stars, and the universe. The performance assessment for this unit is heavily writing-focused, and can be implemented in collaboration with an English Language Arts teacher.
