Abstract
An automated lifestyle has become the norm because of the ease and the comfort it brings. Automatic washers take the hassle out of laundry chores and automatic brewers make delicious steaming coffee without the need of becoming a trained barista. So why not bring the automated lifestyle to our pets? This project documents the design, the construction, the testing, and the completion of the final version of an automated ball launcher tailored specifically for household dogs. This project members included nine undergraduate senior engineering students at Trinity University who were advised by an associate engineering professor.
