Abstract
Since the death of Russell Saunders last December, the passing weeks and months have given me time to pause and reflect upon this extraordinary human being and his contributions to the organ world as teacher, scholar, and performer. Each time I reminisce on the five years I spent as his student, two words never fail to come to mind: devotion and humor.
