Abstract
This is a high school physics unit covering electric fields and forces as well as electric currents and circuits. It delves into how the electric properties of atoms and their subatomic particles influence how materials act in our visible world. The unit involves many games and hands-on learning activities, culminating in a sustainable and culturally relevant performance assessment in which small groups of students create miniature electronic parade floats in celebration of Fiesta in San Antonio, Texas.
