Abstract
The value of a university library can no longer be communicated through print circulation statistics alone. Rather, an integrated approach that collects electronic resources use as well as other pertinent library services can yield a report that more appropriately presents the current reality of decreased print circulation but increased e-usage.
It was critical to the administration of Coates Library at Trinity University that all electronic resources be analyzed, overseen, and managed before any decision to purchase or renew was made, and creating a new position, the E-content Analysis & Assessment Librarian, was essential to achieving that goal.
